As a Butler, you’ll bring fun and energy to parties, help host games, serve drinks and make sure every guest has an unforgettable experience. It’s flexible, great fun, and perfect for those who enjoy meeting new people and performing in social settings.

Team Code of Conduct

Being part of the Buff Butlers team means maintaining high standards of professionalism, safety, and appearance. These rules are here to protect you, the client, and the reputation of our company.

Essentials:

  • You must contact the customer by midday on the day of the booking to reconfirm all details provided.
  • Always arrive on time and in full uniform. No exceptions.
  • Baby oil is strictly prohibited, except where required for stripper performances.
  • Only black flip flops may be worn. Trainers or boots are not permitted under any circumstances.
  • No alcohol, smoking, drugs, or eating during the booking.
  • Once inside the venue, your phone must be put away and not used until after the booking ends.
  • Any form of sexual activity is strictly forbidden, from either party.
  • No swearing or abusive language is acceptable at any time.
  • Do not remain at the venue after your scheduled time, even if invited by the customer.
  • Swapping jobs is not allowed unless explicitly approved by the company before contacting the customer.
  • Never send personal photos to clients. Politely ask them to contact the company instead.
  • If a customer requests a time change, direct them to us. In case of an emergency on your part, notify us first before making any changes.
  • Arrive showered, wearing deodorant, with neatly styled hair and freshly laundered clothing.
  • Facial hair must be well-kept. Clean-shaven is optional — but tidiness is not.
  • Cancelling with less than 48 hours’ notice, or failing to attend, may result in instant dismissal.
  • You must never attend a job hungover — arrive clear-headed and professional.

No-Touching Policy

  • Strictly no touching by clients is permitted.
  • If anyone behaves inappropriately: Politely ask the organiser to address the issue. If it continues, you have the right to leave. Inform Buff HQ immediately and tell us exactly what happened.

Dress Code

  • Uniform (Non-Strippers): Collar & black bow tie (self-provided), Official Buff Butlers apron (bum on show unless otherwise stated), Black flip flops (self-provided), Tight black boxers (if requested), Formal black trousers & black shoes (if requested for more formal events).
  • Wash Care: Wash collar/cuffs on whites and apron separately on darks — cold cycle (30°C).
  • Uniform replacements: Apron £15.00.
  • Butler Kit Bag (Recommended) — Bring a small bag with: Full uniform, Deodorant, Hair product, Mouthwash, Wet wipes, Party game ideas.

Health and Safety Guidelines

  • Don’t carry heavy trays or hot food that could spill.
  • Avoid lifting large objects.
  • Never work on stairs, platforms, or elevated areas.
  • You are not expected to deal with disruptive or intoxicated guests — stay polite and alert us if necessary.

Self-Employment Notice

  • You are a self-employed contractor responsible for your own taxes and insurance.
  • You may decline bookings, but once you confirm availability and are assigned, you are expected to complete the job.
  • If you behave in a way that is inappropriate or unprofessional, you are held accountable — not Buff Butlers.

Booking Workflow

Once Confirmed: You are expected to commit to the job and perform to the standards set by Buff Butlers. Last-minute cancellations damage trust and will impact future job offers.

The Week Before: We’ll be in touch at the start of the week and again the day before to confirm full details — including names and contact info.

On the Day: Confirm details with us before midday, then text the customer to introduce yourself and check if they have special requests.

Arriving at the Venue

  • Arrive 10 minutes early.
  • If working with another Butler, meet outside and go in together.
  • If lost, ask the client to send their location via WhatsApp.
  • Never knock on the door early. Wait outside.
  • You’ll be given a private room to change.

During the Booking

  • Introduce yourself to the group.
  • Serve drinks and clear up — know a few cocktail basics (e.g. Sex on the Beach).
  • Offer drink top-ups and tidy as you go.
  • Play games and keep the energy fun.
  • Suggested Game: “Our Cheeky Little Secret” — Each guest anonymously writes down a wild or cheeky secret. The Butler reads them out and the group guesses who wrote what. If guessed correctly, the person must complete a forfeit (usually a shot!).
  • Bonus: The bride writes 3 secrets — 2 true, 1 false. The group guesses, and she drinks if they get it right.

Drinks and Games

  • You’re expected to host and lead fun games. Have a few in your back pocket.
  • Know how to mix basic cocktails (no shakers required).
  • Be confident pouring champagne or prosecco without spilling.
